SILVANA
Co-Founder, Transport Coordinator

Rescue life for me started in 2016 when my daughter Francesca (at the time a high school student) was looking for volunteer work. She connected with Amy Scarella at Little Black Dog Rescue and began to volunteer and loved it. After joining Francesca on a few volunteer assignments, I knew it was something special and of which I wanted to be a part. Soon after, I was honored when Amy reached out and asked if I would help her and the team with transportation coordination. It has been a joy to meet and collaborate with so many wonderful people sharing the same vision. My youngest daughter CC also contributed and completed most of her high school required community service hours with LBDR. This is truly a family mission, including the provision of meaningful financial support. I am incredibly appreciative to Amy for "teaching me the ropes" and for sharing her wisdom.

I love all animals, but my weakness is dogs, and I would love nothing more than to rescue every one of them in need. My favorite part of rescue is picking up the dogs from transport and telling them “Welcometo better days.”

I am excited and fortunate to work with my Fetch co-founders Jenn, Jessie, and Tiffany.  We all share the same philosophy and dedication to rescue.
